From the eagerly anticipated Audi A6 E-tron to the polestar 3, there will be some major changes in the world of automotives that you need to keep on your radar.
Our global shift to battery-powered cars-which helps prevent the destruction of the planet caused by burning fossil fuels-has finally begun. The most important and direct sign of this change is the manufacture and release of a series of electric vehicles (EVs). Consumers in these categories are excited by and actually want to drive and buy.
More electric cars are on the road-in fact, there are thousands. As automakers strive to achieve global emissions targets in their final efforts to curb catastrophic climate change, almost everyone has pledged to achieve full electrification of their fleets by the end of this decade. To prepare you for the electric cars of the future, we have compiled this list of our favorite upcoming electric cars in 2022.
Audi A6 e-tron – Audi prides itself on being forward-looking and futuristic. But with its conservative styling and lackluster scope, its initial EV products did not surprise us. However, the concept iteration of this upcoming mid-size sedan — with a 469-horsepower engine, 435-mile range and lovely technical configuration — makes people feel like they are back on brand.
BMW i4 M50 – Although BMW’s latest sports all-electric sedan has a style similar to a traditional four-door sports sedan, it has a spacious hatchback and all-wheel drive, making it a versatile, year-round, all-weather car. With 536 horsepower—more than the gasoline-powered M4 of the brand—it should accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3 seconds.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 – Modern handsome and innovative models have attracted our attention, and this sports hatchback is no exception. Inspired by the concept designed by the legendary Giorgetto Guigiaro when the brand was first launched, this affordable all-electric retro car will provides all-wheel drive and a range of up to 300 miles.
Polestar 3 – The first two products of Volvo’s high-end all-electric sub-brand have left a deep impression on us: the sports coupe and the hatchback. Now it (mostly) has launched a third model: SUV. With a leap-forward appearance that resembles a coupe and an elegant Scandinavian design interior, it guarantees a charming combination of function, fashion and sustainability.
Maserati MC20 – Maserati tried again to make a comeback. This time, the 107-year-old Italian sports luxury car manufacturer will pin its hopes on electrification and plans to build gasoline, hybrid and full battery powered versions for its entire product line. It will start with this gorgeous two-seater supercar, which is rumored to be fully electric in 2022.
